This Red lacquer Chinese ladies cabinet , This fine reproduction uses the simple and elegant lines of traditional Chinese furniture. Ladies cabinets are on display in The Forbidden City, Beijing and were originally used in the bedrooms of the Chinese court as a ladies dressing table.

Featuring a small circular brass 'Togetherness Panel' on each cupboard with sliding lock and pretty ornate handles, this Chinese ladies cabinet would also make an elegant occasional table.

This Oriental style piece of red lacquered furniture was made of proper dried reclaimed aged timber in China. It combines the ancient philosophy behind the classical styles and the contemporary modern aesthetics.

It was hand-painted up to 10 layers of rich coat of red lacquer with final finished in clear lacquer for protection and shiny effect.
