The cabinet originates from the Shanxi province which means "West of the Mountains" which extended beyond the Great Wall and dates back to Qing/Ming Dynasty

This early 20th century Mongolian style Chinese cabinet dates back to early 1920's. During this era, the Xinhai Revolution overthrew China's last imperial dynasty known as the Qing dynasty and established the Republic of China. This beautiful piece resembles cultural look of the Chinese and Mongolian style combined.

The buffet features four doors opening to reveal two shelves with storage capacity and four draws. Covered in layers of thick lacquer to provide additional protection from wear with mortise and tenon joinery. Lots of character on the vintage piece with a story to tell.
