This mid-19th century elm wood daybed from southern China features simple flush legs connected by gentle stretchers. An oversized,  beautifully proportioned daybed, suitable for use as a centre table.

In the Ming Style, but made in the late Qing dynasty. It can also be used as a bespoken oversized coffee table for the right interior space.

The top was inlaid with lacquered rattan, suggesting that the bed was made for the summer use in mind, with its origin in southern China. Attractive patina throughout with lots of charming evidences of age and wears
