This elegant cabinet has a "open light" feature on its middle portion. The name came from its open design to allow the display of special things or easy access to objects that are frequently needed. Trimmed with a carved grapevine pattern, anchored with a pair of short posts, the opening is elegant and auspicious ( symbolic of fruitful results). A carved panel at the top of the cabinet echoes the grape motif, emphasizing the theme of "prosperity and family legacy".
This original red altar cabinet features the beautiful colour and carvings on the top door panels and middle frame. In the olden days, Chinese people normally put a budda in the middle part for worshiping in daily life.
