This pair of octagonal wooden barrel was also called WENZHOU Barrel where they were typically from Wenzhou and surrounding areas. It was built in the shape of Octagon where each side was joined with a curved panel into a smaller top, bottom but bigger middle tummy. It was made for storage of rice. Each two sides had a theme paintings. This particular A barrel painted with a peacock on the top lid.
