A large Chinese turn of the century burled wood cabinet with two set of two doors and multiple drawers in the middle. This large cabinet made with burl wood circa 1900 in Hebei, China, features four doors and five drawers adorned with traditional brass hardware.
The dark hue of the panels contrasts nicely with the lighter hue of the trim, which with is accentuated by uncommon triangular shapes. The cabinet is adorned with a hardware made of pale patinated brass. The doors open to reveal two large shelves and two inner drawers, offering great storage possibilities. The skirt is decorated on the sides with a scalloped motif. This 1900s large burl wood panelled cabinet from Hebei would be an unusual storage unit in most living rooms, dining rooms or bedroom used as an armoire and would no doubt add an exotic touch in any decor.
